Update history
Update news for CLIMAX CONNECT. The game is under continuous development and improvement.
August 18, 2026 (ver 0.2.7)
A major expansion of our written content: the How to Play guide has been rewritten from the ground up, and our strategy guide series has begun.
How to Play guide overhauled
- The How to Play guide is now roughly three times longer. New chapters — Setup and Reading the Board, Energy and Costs, Reading Effect Text, and Game Modes — explain every zone on the board and every effect header (On summon, Optional once per turn, When your Life is broken, and more) one by one.
- Fine rules that used to be discoverable only in-game — the first-turn restriction, attacking on the turn a monster is summoned, how field cards behave — are now written down.
Strategy guide series begins
- We are publishing strategy guides as an ongoing series. The first batch is five articles: Deck Building Basics, The Seven Colors and How to Choose Yours, Energy Management 101, The Complete Guide to Connect, and Mastering Evolution and Fusion.
- Cards quoted in articles appear with their artwork — tap one to see its effect on the spot.
August 13, 2026 (ver 0.2.6)
A new card, Machine Swordian, plus balance changes centred on Machine decks and a clearer way to pick targets.
New card
- Machine Swordian (cost 4, colorless, Machine, ATK 40 / HP 30) — While in your hand, when your life is reduced you may trash 2 colorless cards from your hand to summon it for free, right in the middle of your opponent’s turn. Then choose 2 enemy monsters; they cannot attack this turn. It also draws a card when it attacks. A card for turning a losing board around.
Card adjustments
- Sieg Dragon — Cost 9 → 20. Its cost reduction changed from "Human monsters you control × 3" to "the number of monsters on BOTH fields × 2". It no longer asks for a specific deck, and gets cheaper the fuller the board is.
- Machine Shield — Cost 2 → 1. HP +30 → HP +10, and it now draws you a card when equipped, so equipping it costs you no cards in hand.
- Buster Cannon — Cost 5 → 4. It gained a new effect: when the equipped monster attacks, deal 10 damage to all enemy monsters.
- Machine Repair — Cost 2 → 3. Changed from adding a Machine monster from your graveyard to your hand to summoning it straight onto the field (cost 4 or less). During CLIMAX you summon one more. The summoned monsters can attack the same turn.
- Mother City — Cost 10 → 8. Its effects are unchanged, so it is easier to get down.
- Blood Frenzy — Now can only be played when there are 2 or more purple cards in your graveyard. It can no longer come down out of nowhere on turn one.
Picking targets is much clearer
- Whenever you pick a monster on the field — an evolution base, fusion material, or the target of an effect — you now tap the card on the board directly. Until now you picked from a list on a separate screen, which made it hard to tell which one you were choosing when identical cards sat side by side.
- Only the cards you can choose light up; everything else dims. When you pick several, they are numbered in the order you chose them.
- Effects that pick from your graveyard, deck or hand still use the list as before.
August 13, 2026 (ver 0.2.5)
The deck-out rule has changed, and ranked matchmaking bugs are fixed.
- [Rule change] Running out of cards — If you have to draw with an empty deck, you lose. Previously the player with more life cards won when a deck ran out, which meant you could win even though your own deck was the one that ran dry — a confusing outcome. Cards that draw extra are powerful, but keep an eye on how much deck you have left. The rule is now written in the how to play guide and the in-game help.
- [Fixed] In ranked matches, leaving the screen with "Home" while waiting for an opponent left you in the queue. This is why the waiting-player count looked higher than it really was.
- [Fixed] A match already in progress could be hijacked by another matchmaking result while you were queued. This was why an opponent could suddenly stop responding, leaving you waiting until the turn timer ran out.
- Ranked matchmaking now has a 60-second cap. It looks for a similar rank first, and after 60 seconds it matches you regardless of rank. As long as one other player is waiting, you will never wait longer than 60 seconds. This is a big improvement for high-point players, who had the hardest time finding an opponent.
- An estimated wait time is now shown. It counts down ("about N seconds to go") so you can decide whether to wait or come back later. If nobody else is waiting yet, it tells you that instead.
- While queued for a ranked match, the free match, create room and join room buttons are disabled, so you cannot end up waiting in two places at once.
August 13, 2026 (ver 0.2.4)
You can now view cards from inside the strategy guides. A settings-screen bug has also been fixed.
- Cards now appear with their artwork in the body of a strategy guide. Tap one and its cost, attack, HP and effect text open right there — no more jumping back and forth to the card list while you read.
- Card names and effect text inside a guide automatically follow the language of the guide (Japanese, English or Spanish).
- [Fixed] In the Display section of Settings (⚙), a long label could overlap its switch and make it impossible to tap. Labels now wrap onto several lines, and you can toggle a setting by tapping anywhere on its row.
- Each item in the settings panel now sits in its own bordered box, so it is clear which label belongs to which switch.
August 13, 2026 (ver 0.2.3)
We have opened a strategy guides section.
- Added a strategy guides section. We will publish longer reads over time — how to build decks, how to get the most out of Connect and CLIMAX, and more.
- [Fix] Opening the how-to-play guide or update history and then pressing "Back to the game" left you with an extra tab. Pages on this site now open in the same tab.
August 13, 2026 (ver 0.2.2)
We have added an FAQ page.
- Added an FAQ page answering 19 questions — cost, supported devices, moving to a new device, account recovery, how ranked matches work, and the details of CC Stones and the gacha (in Japanese, English and Spanish).
- The top page now shows an introduction to the game and a summary of the rules while it loads, so you can read it on a slow connection or with JavaScript turned off.
- Added a link to the FAQ in the menu on every page.
August 12, 2026 (ver 0.2.1)
We have set up support for players who lose access to their account.
- If you can no longer sign in — a lost phone, a device change that went wrong — contact us and we can restore your account. Our contact address is at the bottom of every page.
- When you write in, adding roughly when you registered, your record, and the decks you use alongside your player name helps us find the right account faster — other players may share your name.
- The surest route is still to issue a transfer code in advance from your profile screen. Try it before you switch devices.
August 12, 2026 (ver 0.2.0)
Now available in English and Spanish!
- The whole game is now available in Japanese, English and Spanish. Switch from "Language" in Settings (⚙).
- On your first visit the language is chosen automatically from your browser settings.
- All 180 cards — names, effect text, effect tags, races and colors — are fully translated.
- Everything that appears during a match is translated too — the battle log, card selection screens, error messages and the preset deck descriptions.
- Spanish card text now uses HP / ATK for stats, matching what the game screen shows.
- The How to play, Card list and Update history pages now have English and Spanish versions too. Switch any time from the links at the top of the page.
- Switching language keeps you on the screen you are already on. Your connection is not dropped, even mid-match.
- [Fix] Card names in the CC Stone prize catalog were still showing in Japanese.
- The card type at the bottom-left of a card is now shown as an icon. Hover it (long-press on a phone) to see the type name, and there is a full legend under Settings (⚙) → "Effect tag glossary". This also means race tags no longer get cut off on cards with long race names in English and Spanish.
- [Fix] The card detail showed "—" for Race on cards that have two races.
- [Fix] Switching language with a card detail open left that one card in the previous language.
- [Fix] The effect text in the effect ticker could still appear in Japanese.
- Dragon Rookie: the on-summon draw now requires 4 or fewer cards in hand, down from 6.
- [Fix] Munias’s card detail showed its fusion requirement as "undefined type monsters ×2". It correctly reads 2 monsters with cost 3 or higher (the in-game check was always correct).
- [Fix] Electro Gigavolt showed its evolution requirement as Human only. It correctly reads Human & Yellow (the check was always correct).
- [Fix] On some cards, the effect text shown in the card detail and effect ticker did not match the actual effect.
- [Fix] Corrected the Japanese wording in the log when returning cards from the graveyard to your hand or deck.
August 11, 2026 (ver 0.1.3)
Task List rewards have been increased substantially.
- Daily tasks: first win of the day 50 → 100, three games today 30 → 60.
- Win milestones: every tier from 1 to 50 wins raised to 300, and 100 wins to 1500 (200 wins stays at 500 and 500 wins at 1000).
- Title rewards: Bronze through Diamond all raised to 300, Master to 600.
- If you already claimed a reward at the old amount, we delivered the difference automatically. You can see it in the Task List under "Claim history" as "Reward increase difference" (your balance is already updated).
August 11, 2026 (ver 0.1.2)
A new card and a rules clarification.
- [New card] Munias (SR, colorless, Dragon): Fusion of 2 monsters with cost 3 or higher. Ability (optional, once per turn): send 1 fusion material to the graveyard, look at your opponent's entire hand, and put 1 of those cards on the bottom of their deck. Our first fusion monster with no race requirement!
- Munias's Rainbow Rare and Super Parallel (alternate art) were added to the gacha, bringing Super Parallels to four.
- [Ruling change] If an inherited equipment card no longer meets its equip conditions after an evolution or fusion, that equipment is now sent to the graveyard.
- [Fix] Abilities that send a fusion or evolution material to the graveyard (such as Gran Omega) were shown as usable (green glow) even with no material available.
- [Fix] On the small cards in the deck builder and deck list, the Parallel Rare effect covered the artwork and made it hard to see.
August 11, 2026 (ver 0.1.1)
- 🎉 Launch gift! Every player gets 1,500 CC Stones as a first-login present, waiting in the Task List. Claim it from "📋 Task List" on the home screen (once per player). That is ten gacha pulls to get you started!
August 11, 2026 (ver 0.1.0)
Major update! CC Stones, the gacha and the Task List have arrived.
- [New] CC Stones have arrived — an in-game currency you earn by playing (PvP win +30 / loss +10, CPU win +15 / loss +5). Check your balance any time on the home screen.
- [New] The Task List is here! Claim CC Stones from daily bonuses (first win of the day, three games today), win milestones (eight tiers from 1 to 500 wins) and title rewards. Includes progress bars and a claim history, and the home button gets a red badge when something is ready to claim.
- [New] The CC Stone Gacha is open! 150 stones per pull for prizes you can get nowhere else. There are no duplicates, so every pull gives you something new.
- Gacha prize 1: Mirror Rare versions of R cards (alternate art with the same holo finish as SR).
- Gacha prize 2: Rainbow Rare versions of SR cards (alternate art whose sheen turns rainbow).
- Gacha prize 3: Parallel Rare versions of UR cards (with a shimmering animated effect).
- Gacha prize 4: four gacha-exclusive card sleeves (Stellar Prism, Golden Crest, Nocturne Rose, Aurora Wing).
- Gacha prize 5: three gacha-exclusive battlefields (Starfall Arena, Blazing Lava Field, Abyssal Temple).
- The prize catalog page shows every prize's drop rate and whether you own it, all at a glance.
- The gacha has its own stage! Lights come on one by one in the dark and a gacha ball appears in the centre. The ball's color (silver, gold or rainbow) tells you the rarity — and it can be upgraded after you tap it. Rarely, the stage lighting changes color for a guaranteed result.
- The "?" button on the gacha screen explains how it works — prize types, ball colors and what each effect means.
- Reorganised the home screen into three sections: Battle, Cards and CC Stones.
- Deck building improvements: cards you own alternate art for get a "✨art" badge, and you can switch art from the card detail.
- The first Super Parallels (special alternate art) are included: Chain Draw, Rabbit Girl and Machine King Gran Omega.
August 10, 2026 (ver 0.0.78)
Card adjustments and bug fixes.
- [Fix] For "look at the top 3 cards" effects (such as Call of Dracula's Castle), the whole effect used to fizzle and the revealed cards vanished when nothing matched. Now all three are revealed and the rest go to the graveyard (or the bottom of the deck) as written.
- Frozen Wolf Diviser: on-summon effect changed to "destroy 1 card on your opponent's field with cost 5 or less" — it can now target monsters too.
- Dragon Rookie: added "On summon: if you have 6 or fewer cards in hand, draw 2 cards".
- Realm of Mythical Beasts: while in hand, its cost now drops by the number of Mythical Beasts you control. Its bounce effect returns equipment and fusion/evolution materials to the opponent's hand as well.
- Chimera: on defeating an enemy monster in battle, it now draws 2 cards in addition to gaining +10 HP and ATK.
- Roar of the Beast King: now reads "choose up to 3 Mythical Beast monsters with cost 3 or less from your deck and put them onto the field (they cannot attack this turn)".
- Electro Burst: cost changed to 1 and damage to 30.

Card adjustments and bug fixes.
- Trooper Galeo: changed to ATK 20 / HP 60.
- Navigator Ante: now reads "On summon: add 1 Pirate monster with cost 3 or less, or 1 blue equipment card, from your deck to your hand" — it can now search the whole deck.
- Electro Girl: evolution cost changed to 2. "Always: attack twice" was replaced with "On evolve: gain multi-attack (2×) for this turn only".
- Blood Frenzy: removed the "cannot attack this turn" restriction on the Zombie Soldiers it summons — they can attack right away.
- [Ruling] A monster that cannot attack still counts as a monster that has not attacked, so it can be used for costs such as Grandra's sacrifice.
- [Fix] Dracula's Pact and Cursed Treasure could not select multiple monsters with the same name from the graveyard.
August 10, 2026 (ver 0.0.76)
- Blood Frenzy: monsters summoned by this effect can no longer attack the turn they arrive.
August 10, 2026 (ver 0.0.75)

- Pirate Ship John Weego: dropped the Pirate buff and now reads "Always: your blue equipment cards cost 1 less".
- Gunner Dan: added "On summon: draw 1 card" (the free summon by discarding equipment is unchanged).
- Blue Pirate Sword: ATK bonus reduced from +20 to +10, and gained "On equip: draw 1 card".
- Trooper Galeo: new effect implemented. When your Life is broken (from hand, optional), if you have 6 or more equipment cards between your graveyard and energy zone you can summon it without paying its cost. On summon: draw 3 cards.
- Dracula's Castle: renamed to Call of Dracula's Castle. The revealed cards you do not take now go to the graveyard.
- Zombie Soldier: added "On destroyed: draw 1 card".
- Blood Frenzy: now reads "put 2 Zombie Soldiers onto the field from outside the game".

- Electro Girl: evolution cost changed to 3.
- Cursed Treasure: now reads "choose up to 2 Zombie monsters in your graveyard and place them in your energy zone (they produce energy this turn)".
- Great Spirit: cost changed to 12. Its summon cost drops by the number of Spirits in your field and graveyard, and it gained "Always: your Spirit monsters gain +10 HP and ATK". The end-of-turn mass heal is unchanged.
- Spirit Robe: cost changed to 1. It now has "Always: HP +10" and "On equip: draw 1 card".
